Ready to make your workplace more cycle-friendly? The journey begins with a simple, free self-evaluation. In just 15 minutes, you'll assess your organization across six key categories of the European standard for cycle-friendliness.
From employee communication to on-site cycling services, this evaluation provides a comprehensive snapshot of your current efforts.
Step 1: Self Evaluation
The first step to cycle-friendly employer certification is to fill out a free CFE self-evaluation. The self-evaluation incorporates six categories of the European standard for cycle-friendliness in the workplace, and takes fifteen minutes to complete.
These six categories cover a range of criteria including; communications and information for employees, coordination and organisation of cycling objectives, incentives for staff to cycle, cycling services made available on-site, parking management, and facilities available for visitors and customers (where applicable).
Once we receive your self-evaluation, we will send you a full summary report within 24 hours, detailing recommendations and quick-wins that you can implement to improve your workplace’s cycle-friendliness. The summary report is the first step in developing a roadmap that will see your company’s workplace reach the highest European-standard for cycle-friendliness by the end of a three-year certification period, or sooner in many cases.
Step 2: On Site Review
From there, a registered EU cycle-friendly accreditor will organise an on-site review of your premises, to confirm the self-evaluation score is correct. Following the on-site review, an audit report will be created, detailing a timeline of improvements and recommendations your company can implement to improve overall cycle-friendliness.
Step 3: Accreditation
After this stage, Bronze, Silver or Gold EU Cycle-Friendly Employer accreditation is awarded to your company. Cycle-Friendly Employer accreditation remains valid for three years. Should your workplace not score Gold at the initial accreditation stage, our team will work with you to bring your workplace to Gold-level accreditation status during your three year certification period.
